HEB had salmon filets for $3.97 lb yesterday, so I bought 2 pounds for less than $10/ Isn't that amazing. I came up with this marinade based on what I have in the pantry and it came out pretty good.

Ingredients

salmon filets

MARINADE:

1/4 c
olive oil
1/4 c
soy sauce
1/8 c
djon mustard
1/4 c
honey
2 Tbsp
liquid smoke
1 Tbsp
ginger
1 Tbsp
garlic powder
1 Tbsp
curry powder
1 Tbsp
lemon or lime juice

Directions Step-By-Step

Whisk all ingredients for marinade until mixture is well blended and smooth.

Place salmon in shallow dish and brush generously with marinade

Place in fridge for 1 hour

When ready to cook, preheat grill to medium high heat.

Remove salmon from fridge and give another brushing with marinade

NOTE: IF YOU DON'T HAVE A GRILL USE A CAST IRON OR HEAVY NON STICK SKILLET.

Place salmon skin side up on grill and cook 3-5 minutes, then turn skin side down and cook 3-5 more minutes

Check frequently to avoid overcooking (your grill may cook faster than mine).

Fish is done when you can easily flake it with a fork.

Plate and serve immediately.
