How To Make flavorfull shrimp cocktail & sauce
-
Step 1COCKTAIL SAUCE: Whisk all ingredients together in a large bowl until combined. Refrigerate & let flavors marry until ready to serve. NOTE: I like my cocktail sauce spicy with horseradish, add or subtract to your liking.
-
Step 2SHRIMP: Combine shrimp, 4 C cold water, salt, thyme, peppercorns, bay leaves & celery seed in a large pot. Set pot over medium high heat & cook, stirring occasionally, when shrimp are starting to become pink, about 7 minutes.
-
Step 3Remove from heat & add zest & juice. Cover & let stand, about 7 minutes. Stir ice into pot & let shrimp cool completely, another 5 minutes. Drain shrimp. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
-
Step 4Serve shrimp with cocktail sauce.
