Crawfish Pie

A friend from school made this for my husband and I. Her name was Linda Miller.
That night she made one with crawfish and one with shrimp if I remember correctly.

Ingredients

whipping cream

ribs celery-chopped

1/2 c

green onions-chopped

cooked crawfish tails-chopped
1/4 c
dried parsley
1/2 c
seasoned bread crumbs

egg-beaten
1/4 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper
1/4 tsp
red pepper

9-inch pie crust

Step-By-Step

1Heat whipping cream. Add celery and the 1 TBSP butter. Let simmer 5 minutes.
2In a Dutch oven; heat butter. Add onions, garlic powder, and bell pepper. Saute until limp.
3Add creamed mixture, green onions, crawfish and parsley. Simmer 10 minutes. remove from heat.
4Pour mixture into bottom of pie crust. Place second pie crust on top and seal edges. Make three 1-inch slits in top crust.
5Bake in preheated 450 degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake another 35 minutes
6*hint: place a cookie sheet underneath pie to catch drippings!
