Ingredients For crab cakes with spicy mayonnaise

  • 1 lb
    lump crabmeat
  • 1/2 c
    celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 c
    green onions, chopped
  • 3 c
    panko bread crumbs (divided with 2 cups reserved for coating)
  • 2 md
    eggs
  • 1/3 c
    light mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp
    seafood seasonings (such as old bay)
  • 1
    dash hot pepper sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp
    finely chopped parsley
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • SAUCE:
  • 1 c
    light mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp
    sun-dried tomato paste
  • 1
    minced garlic clove
  • salt & pepper
  • dash of hot pepper sauce

How To Make crab cakes with spicy mayonnaise

    Combine all the ingredients together in large mixing bowl (reserving 2 cups panko crumbs for coating).

    Form mixture into 3 inch patties. In small dish or bowl, place reserved panko crumbs and press each patty into the crumbs to coat outsides of patties.

    Fry in butter (about 2 tbsp.) in large skillet on low until the patties are golden brown and crispy, about 5 to 8 minutes on each side. Place on dish and keep warm.

    SAUCE: Combine all the sauce ingredients in small mixing bowl. Serve over warm crab cakes. 11 points per serving
