Ingredients For brown sugar and bacon salmon

  • 2 lb
    salmon, steaks
  • 1 Tbsp
butt rub, your favorite brand or blend
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 4 slice
bacon, (i used a maple smoked)

How To Make brown sugar and bacon salmon

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2
Line baking sheet with tin foil. Spray with Pam.
  • 3
Place the steaks on baking sheet evenly spaced. I used tails, they just looked tastier. But I'm new to salmon so you tell me!
  • 4
Mix the butt rub and brown sugar and rub onto salmon. Use as much or as little as you like. I used about a tbsp per steak, two large tail sections.
  • BEFORE
    5
Lay bacon over steaks, I used 2 per section but if you are using steaks 1 would probably work per steak.
  • 6
Let sit for about 20 minutes while you prep something else or oven finishes preheating.
  • 7
Bake for about 10 minutes and then check to see how bacon is coming along. I finished off under the broiler but not too close for a few minutes to brown the bacon. 10 -15 minutes total cook time depending on your oven and size of fillets.
