My father discovered this Off the Boat Tartar Sauce on his fishing trip to Alaska. This sauce may be used as a dip or slathered over the halibut and encrusted on the top during grilling.

Ingredients For blackened alaskan grilled halibut with off the boat tartar sauce

    mayonnaise
  • 1 bunch
    green onions, chopped
  • 2 tsp
    lemon pepper
  • 4
    halibut steaks
  • lemon juice, fresh
  • 4 tsp
    blackening seasoning

How To Make blackened alaskan grilled halibut with off the boat tartar sauce

    In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, green onions, and lemon pepper. Squeeze lemon over each halibut steak and season with blackening seasoning or just top with 1/4 cup of tartar sauce, spread to cover one side.

    Preheat grill to medium high heat. Slightly grease grill. Place tartar encrusted halibut on grill. Grill for 10 minutes or until halibut flakes with fork. Serve with lemon wedges.
