In a large non-stick skillet, heat maple syrup slowing on a medium low heat. Add almonds, covering the pan evenly. Sir until well heated and beginning to boil.
While this is heating,put the sliced apples into a microwave bowl with water, cover and soften in the microwave until tender. Keep warm until ready to serve.
Sprinkle salt evenly over salmon that has been cut into 4 even pieces (if black skin has not been removed, carefully remove before cooking). Lay gently over the almond and maple glaze. Depending on the thickness, cook 7-10 minutes, turn carefully almond side up. Continue to cook until flakes. Do not overcook, you want the salmon sweet and moist!
Remove from pan; lay on a warm platter. Place the warm apple sices around the salmon and ENJOY!!
