Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

I came up with this last Sunday when I needed an easy fix for chicken. Turned out GREAT! Family loved it! Served it with a salad & broccoli.

Ingredients

chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless (or 1.5 lb chicken tenders)
1 can(s)
28 oz, petite diced tomatoes
1 can(s)
water (rinse the tomato can)

envelope lipton savory herb & garlic soup mix

green pepper, chopped
1
onion, thinly sliced
1
bag, boil-in-bag rice
shredded mozzerella cheese, for sprinkling
grated parmesan cheese, for garnish
cornstarch for thickening, if desired

Directions Step-By-Step

Put everything but rice in slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours total.

with 30 minutes left to cook, put the boil-in-bag of rice in slow cooker. Make sure it is completely covered with liquid.

Remove rice bag to plate/serving dish. Mix cornstarch with water and add to liquid to thicken, if desired.

Serve over rice and sprinkle cheeses on top.
