How To Make oriental marinated grilled chicken

  • 1
Add all marinade ingredients to pint jar; cover jar with tight lid; shake well. Refrigerate until needed. May be made up to several weeks in advance. Shake well before each use.
  • 2
Place each piece of chicken between 2 sheets of plastic wrap; pound with flat mallet until 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.
  • 3
Place meat in bowl/dish or zipper bag; add enough marinade to generously cover meat. Refrigerate and allow meat to marinate for 1 to 2 hrs.
  • 4
Preheat preferred grill to medium/medium-high temperature (George Foreman grill, indoor grill pan, or outdoor grill.)
  • 5
Drain and discard marinade from chicken.
  • 6
Place each piece of chicken on preheated grill, cover with lid or foil, and cook over medium/medium-high heat for approximately 1 1/2 to 2 minutes per side (may take less time on indoor grill that cooks from both top and bottom, such as a George Foreman.) If less charring is preferred, pat chicken dry with paper towels after draining off the marinade.
  • 7
Cover and refrigerate leftovers. Never reuse marinade that has contacted raw meat.
