There will never be a family party with out this dish. When you hear someone in the family is having some kind of party, you know this will be on the menu. There is never any left overs.

Ingredients

1 pkg
long rice
3
mushrooms, dried
2 lb
chicken pieces
1 Tbsp
salt
2 Tbsp
salad oil
1 small
ginger root, crushed
1 qt
water
1/4 tsp
msg
10
green onions, chopped

Directions Step-By-Step

First soak the long rice & mushrooms in warm water for about 30 minutes. Cut the chicken into 2-inch piece's & sprinkle with salt & pepper. Then remove the stems from the mushroom's & cut into strips.

In large pot heat the oil over medium heat. Then saute the chicken, garlic & ginger root. Then add in the mushroom's, add in water & cover the pot. Let simmer for about 1 hour.

Then drain the long rice, cut into 3-inch length's. Add it to the pot & simmer for 15 more minutes. Then add in the MSG & green onions just before serving. make's 6 servings...
