5 tspchicken bouillon granules

1 1/2 ccelery, sliced

2 lgcarrots, shredded

1 lgonion, chopped

1 mdgreen pepper, chopped

2 1/2 cuncooked elbow macaroni

1 cbutter
-
3/4 call purpose flour
-
6 cmilk
-
1 lbamerican cheese, cubes
How To Make *** mom's macaroni & cheese soup ***

1In a soup kettle or dutch oven, bring water & boullion to a boil.

2Add celery, carrots, onion & green pepper; cook for 4 minutes or until tender. Add macaroni. Cover & return to a boil; boil for 2 minutes.

3Remove from heat; let stand for 8 - 10 minutes or until macaroni is just tender.

4Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Bring to boil; cook & stir for 2 minutes. Stir in cheese until melted; add to undrained macaroni mixture.
