We have a lot of greek diners here. Have to say souvlakis have to be my fav! I also worked at few of those restaurants. Picked up a few tips on recipes and came up with my own! What makes these the best is the marinate and when to use and add to what!! Have to say, not bad at all for an Italian!!!

Ingredients

4
boneless chicken breast cut
lettuce
chopped tomatoes or cherry tomatoes halved
black olives
sliced red onions
feta cheese
greek dressing
pita pockets

Step-By-Step

Step 1 Direction Photo

1Marinate cut chicken in greek dressing 30min to overnight.

Also slice olives and onion and marinate in separate bowls with greek dressing.

2Fry chicken in couple tablespoons marinate, til cooked thru.

Toast pita pockets in oven for few minutes.

3I serve family style with all ingredients in separate bowls, So everybody serves themselves.
With the marinating of the onions and olives adds flavor without soaking pita bread. But do serve more dressing and tzatziki.

1c plain greek yogurt
1tbls. fresh dill or dried
1 whole english cucumber seeded and chopped
1tsp lemon juice
salt and pepper
