Ingredients For hula burgers

  • 1 - 20 oz can
    pineapple slices, undrained
  • 1/2 c
    teriyaki sauce
  • 2 lb
    ground turkey or chicken
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp
    ginger, fresh, grated
  • 1/2 lg
    red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 c
    panko bread crumbs
  • 8
    king's hawaiian sweet hamburger buns
  • 8 slice
    monterey jack cheese

How To Make hula burgers

  • 1
    Drain pineapple; reserve juice.
  • 2
    In a small bowl, stir together teriyaki sauce & pineapple juice.

    In a medium bowl, mix together turkey, ginger, red onion, panko & 1/4 C teriyaki mixture. Shape into 8 patties.

    Grill patties, brushing with the remaining teriyaki mixture, until brown & cooked through. Place pineapple slices on grill & cook until lightly golden brown.

    Serve burgers on buns with cheese & pineapple & enjoy!
