Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce, low-sodium
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce, dark
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, ground
  • 1 pound chicken thighs
  • 2 scallions, sliced (both greens & whites)

How To Make hoisin chicken

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, mix 1st 7 ingredients.
  • Step 2
    In a large ziplock bag, add chicken; pour marinade over chicken & refrigerate overnight. VERY IMPORTANT for flavors to marry together = more flavor!
  • Step 3
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 4
    Remove chicken from marinade (reserving) & place in roasting pan. Roast 30 - 35 minutes or until cooked through & crisp on top.
  • Step 5
    Just before serving; pour reserved marinade into a small saucepan; bring to boil & drizzle over chicken. Sprinkle scallions on top & enjoy!
