Apparently this recipe needed a home (and I need more recipes)!! But it sounds close to what I would do

Ingredients For green tomatillo chicken

4chicken thighs

2 Tbspsalad oil
-
1 lbtomatillos, freshly cored and chopped

1 lgchopped onion
-
2 lgchopped jalapenos, fresh

1minced garlic clove
-
1/2 ccilantro
-
pinchsalt
-
pinchpepper
How To Make green tomatillo chicken

1Remove chicken skin (if desired).

2Pour oil into 10-12" frying pan over medium-high heat; add chicken and brown, turning as needed, 8-12 minutes.

3Add tomatillos, onion, chiles, and garlic; cover and simmer, turning chicken occasionally, until meat is no longer pink at thigh bone (cut to test), about 30 minutes.

4With a slotted spoon, transfer chicken to a platter; keep warm.

5Boil sauce, uncovered, over high heat until most of the liquid evaporates, 6-8 minutes.

6Pour sauce over chicken; sprinkle with cilantro and add salt and pepper to taste.
