I made these marinated wings on the fly (pun intended) for a Sunday afternoon cookout. I didn't have enough of the one type of marinade so I made my own. This particular set of wings was last on the grill and my baby brother was put in charge of watching them; he also ended up eating almost all of them.

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
Ginger and lime are a wonderful combo and give these wings a ton of flavor! Grilling them adds an extra flavor boost. A great addition to your next tailgate or cookout.

Ingredients

1 lb
whole chicken wings
1 c
soy sauce, dark
1/4 c
olive oil
2 Tbsp
minced ginger
6 clove
smashed garlic
1/2 c
water
1 Tbsp
red chile flakes
2 Tbsp
lime juice
1 bunch
chopped scallions

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Place chicken wings (remove wing tips if desired) in a large zip-lock bag.
2
Mix all remaining ingredients and pour over chicen. Allow to marinate at least 2 hours or overnight.
3
Heat grill to ideal range. Cook wings on each side until done and the skin is crispy and has good grill marking.
