This is a great busy day recipe. Put it in the crock pot in the morning and yum yum when you walk in the door after a long day.

Ingredients For crockpot dressing

    whole chicken, stewed and picked from the bone
  • 1
    8 oz. box of jiffy mix cornbread, prepared according to package directions.
  • 8 slice
    white bread, cubed
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 can
    chicken broth
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    rubbed sage
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1
    medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    celery, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 4
    eggs

How To Make crockpot dressing

    Combine everything listed above and place in a crockpot that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Cook on low for 4 hours. It will not matter if it cooks longer. If you double the recipe, you will need a larger crockpot, and it will need to cook longer.

    Depending on the size of your crockpot, this recipe may make too much for one crockpot. Any additional dressing or all of it can be baked in the oven on 350 degrees for about one hour.
