Crockpot Chicken Penne/Farfalle

boneless/skinless chicken thighs
sweet salad type peppers
spaghetti sauce, meatless
parmesan cheese grated
hickory smoked bacon
Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, roll in flour
In a large cast iron skillet brown bacon on low to render out fat. Remove bacon set aside to have on salad with meal. Add olive oil to bacon fat & fry chicken thighs on medium for 4 min per side.
Warm sauce in microwave, add small amount to bottom of crockpot just to coat, areange browned chicken in bottom of crockpot
Top with sliced peppers and onions
Pour remaining sauce over and cook on low 3-4 hours
Add combination of dry penne and farfalle pasta and 3/4 cup of water, cover and cook till pasta is tender, be careful not to over cook the pasta.
Top with Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes and chopped green onions to garnish.....enjoy!!
