Ingredients For crock pot "fried" chicken

  • 2 1/2 - 3 lb
    fryer chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    sage, dried or oregano
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • butter

How To Make crock pot "fried" chicken

    Rinse chicken pieces & pat dry.

    Combine flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder & sage or oregano.

    Toss chicken pieces with flour mixture to coat.

    In skillet, heat butter to 1/4" depth & cook chicken over medium high heat until brown.

    5.Place browned chicken in crock pot, adding wings first; do not add any liquid.

    Cover & cook on low setting for 4 - 8 hours.
