One of my families favorite meals. I use the same base of this recipe for make, Chicken Paprikash, Creamed Chicken or Curry Chicken with dumplings. And I will give you all 3 recipes on this one.

Ingredients For 3 chickens paprikash, curry, creamed-my way

  • CHICKEN PAPRIKASH
  • 1
    kosher or organic chicken, cut into breasts, wings, legs, and thighs
  • 1
    onion sliced thin
  • 1 pt
    organic half and half ( use to use cream, but i am trying to cut down on colesterol and it ain't easy)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    sweet hungarian paprika
  • 1/2 tsp
    hot paprika
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    smoked paprika
  • 4 Tbsp
    organic butter or european butter
  • sea salt to taste or fine kosher salt
  • freshly ground mixed peppers to taste
  • flour
  • CURRY CHICKEN
  • 1
    kosher or orangic chicken cut into breasts, legs, wings, thighs
  • 4 Tbsp
    organic butter
  • 1
    onion sliced thin
  • 1 pt
    half and half
  • 1
    bunch of garlic greens (this is about 2 large or 3 small stems)
  • 2 3/4 tsp
    powdered curry
  • 1/4 tsp
    turmac
  • 1/4 tsp
    fresh chopped english thyme
  • 1/8 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • sea salt to taste
  • fresh ground mixed peppers
  • flour-plus a pinch of sugar
  • CREAM CHICKEN
  • 1
    kosher or organic chicken, cut into breast, wings, legs, and thighs
  • 4 Tbsp
    organic butter
  • 1 pt
    half and half
  • salt
  • ground mix pepper
  • flour
  • there is no onion in this recipe!

How To Make 3 chickens paprikash, curry, creamed-my way

    For all 3 recipes. For those who have an allergy to wheat, please use cornstarch or arrowroot to thicken. Melt the butter in a dutch oven and brown the onions slightly, remove. Add the chicken pieces in and brown them on all sides with salt and pepper.

    Once they have browned pour about 2 cups of water in the pan with the chicken. COVER! Cook until Chicken is tender. Take the chicken out and place some flour in to use as a thickener. Add the half/half and replace the chicken.

    For the Curry and Paprikash you add the seasonings just before you add the cream and cook for a few more mintues.
