(12 ounces) fettuccine
8 slice
bacon , cut into 1 - inch strips
1 lb
boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
2 c
fresh mushrooms, sliced..i used canned and drained tonight
10 - 12
green onions, sliced thinly, including the green ends
2 clove
garlic, minced
3 c
heavy cream
1 c
shredded parmesan cheese
2 tsp
1 tsp
1 tsp
coarsely ground pepper
additional shredded parmesan cheese

1Gather ingredients

Cook fettuccine according to directions on the package.

2In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels; reserving 2 tablespoons of drippings.

Saute the chicken in the drippings until no longer pink. Add the mushrooms and green onions; cook until mushrooms are tender, stirring frequently.

3Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in the cream, cheese, paprika, salt and pepper. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 - 10 minutes. Stir in the reserved bacon.

4Drain the fettuccine; place in serving bowl. Add the sauce, toss to coat. Garnish with the additional parmesan.
