It was time for me to clean out my cupboard. I happen to notice a can of spinach and a jar of hearts of palm. I wanted to experiment with these ingredients to see if it went well in a savory cheesecake. The end result was creamy and flavorful.
1Pre-heat oven at 350 degrees. In a food processor, add ritz crackers and 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Pulse until coarse, pour crumbs and press into the bottom of a nonstick 9 inch springform pan. Set aside
2Add cream cheese and eggs in a large bowl, beat in by using a mixer until creamy. Combine flour, curry powder, salt, chili powder, thyme, garlic powder, pepper, and onion powder mix together using a spatula.
3Fold in gently chicken, hearts of palm, spinach, and ricotta cheese. Pour mixture into a springform pan and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen the cake. Cool before removing rim of pan.
