Chicken and Dressing Casserole

Remember this is a casserole, not the regular chicken and dressing that is made for the holidays.

Ingredients

8 oz
cornbread stuffing mix
1 stick
margarine, melted
1 c
water
4
chicken breasts, cooked and diced
3/4 c
diced onion
1/2 c
diced celery
3/4 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1/2 c
real mayonnaise
2
eggs
1 1/2 c
milk
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
2 c
grated cheddar cheese

Step-By-Step

1Mix melted margarine and water with stuffing mix; toss lightly to mix well.

2Place half of dressing mix in the bottom of a greased 12x8x2 inch dish.

3Mix together chicken, onion, celery, salt, pepper, and mayonnaise. Spread mixture over layer of dressing.

4Add remaining dressing for top layer. Beat eggs and milk together; pour over casserole. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

5Remove one hour before baking and spread soup over the top. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with grated cheese.
