I love this pizza. It has a great sweet bbq sauce and 3 cheeses. The gorgonzola is tart while the monterery jack and mozzerella are mild and flavorful. Besides who doesn't love bacon on a pizza??
Stir sugar in warm water. Add yeast. In a separate bowl combine 2 1/2 cups flour, salt, garlic powder dry oregano. I use a kitchen aid mixer and the dough hook add olive oil. Add flour and spice mixture and additional flour until dough pulls away from mixing bowl. Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
While dough is rising I prepare my toppings. Cook onion with 1 teaspoon olive oil in a medium skillet on medium high until done. Shred cheeses.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray 14" pizza pan with cooking spray. Spread dough into pan. Spread sauce over pizza dough. Then chicken, bacon and veggies. Then Cheeses. Bake 15 to 20 minutes.
