  • 1 lb lb
    lean beef
  • 1 md
    onion chopped
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 29 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 6 oz
    tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    oregano
  • 12 oz
    lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 12 oz
    cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c
    grated parmesan cheese from the dairy isle
  • 16 oz
    mozzarella cheese
  • 1
    slow cooker or 10x13 foil pan
  • texas garlic toast!

    When putting layers together put: MEAT- NOODLES- CHEESE In large skillet brown beef, onion, & garlic til done. Add tomato sauce, paste, salt, & oregano & stir til well incorporated. Turn down & simmer while you get your noodles & cheeses ready.

    In a large bowl mix cottage cheese, grated Parmesan, & mozzarella. Mix with a spoon until all is mixed thoroughly.

    in slow cooker or foil pan put a layer of meat mixture. Add on this layer only a double layer of noodles, breaking to fit to the sides. On top of noodles spread cheese mixture. Repeat all til all is used. Top with grated mozzarella if desired. Cover & on low cook about 40 min to an hour. In foil pan cook on 350 for about the same length of time. Check noodles for tenderness.
