Mom's Creamy Chili

This is my mom's recipe that she made since I was a little girl. With so many "hot" and "second alarm" chili dishes, this is a welcome change. You can actually taste the chili without burning your tongue and the flavor blend is delicious. It's mild and creamy but with a little bite from the cayenne pepper. Everyone who tastes this chili loves it! Serve it with corn bread or a crusty bread. It also tastes great served with applesauce.

Ingredients

2 Tbsp
oil
1 small
chopped onion
1 lb
ground beef
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper
2 tsp
chili powder
1/4 tsp
cayenne pepper
2 can(s)
cream of tomato soup
1 can(s)
drained kidney beans

Directions Step-By-Step

Brown onions and ground beef in oil in saucepan.

Drain oil.

Add seasonings, undiluted soup and drained kidney beans to ground beef.

Simmer slowly about 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
