PASTA

8 oz

2 c
mozzarella cheese shredded

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Place the bacon in a large skillet over med high heat and cook until it starts to brown a bit. Add the sausage and garlic and cook until sausage is done. Drain and set aside.
2
For the sauce melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the flour and make a roux whisking until no lumps. Add the milk slowly whisking until thickened. Add the Parmesan cheese, pepper and lemon juice. Stir in the bacon and sausage. Taste now to adjust for salt because you may not need any because the bacon and sausage will provide the salt element.

To make the topping melt the butter in a small pan on top of stove. Add the panko and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned. Remove from heat.
4
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
Layer the casserole starting with the half the cooked Linguine then half the sauce then half the Mozzarella cheese. Repeat with the remaining linguine, sauce and cheese. Top with the breadcrumb mixture and place in oven and bake 20 to 25 minutes until top is golden brown. Garnish with a little parsley if desired.
