As Wisconsin natives, we love paying tribute to the wealth of local cheeses, and as the weather warms, we find ourselves looking for summer grilling inspiration for a classic Wisconsin dish, the cheeseburger.

Ingredients

2 lb
ground beef
1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
pepper
2 Tbsp
milk
1/2 c
crumbled blue cheese

GARNISH:

lettuce leaves
tomato slices
onion slices
pickle slices
ketchup
mustard

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine ground beef, salt, pepper and milk. Shape into 8 patties.

Make an indentation in center of each with the back of a tablespoon.

Place on grill or in large skillet, indentation side down.

When browned on this side, turn over and fill indentation with crumbled cheese.

Continue cooking to desired doneness.

Serve on toasted buns with assorted garnish.
