    can stewed tomatoes (chopped up)

  • 1/2 c
    orzo macaroni (see note)
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce (optional)

How To Make minestrone

  • 1
Brown ground beef with salt and pepper to taste. Drain. Add brother, water, onion soup and celery. Boil for 20 minutes. Add tomoatoes, vegetables and orzo. (see note below re: orzo).
  • 2
Boil for 15 minutes. Add worcestershire sauce (optional). May also sprinkle with parmesan cheese on top in individual serving bowls.
  • 3
NOTE: orzo - may also be cooked separately - I prefer to cook it separately and spoon desired amount in individual serving bowl. This way the orzo does not absorb all the broth.
