Ingredients For tortilla torte

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed, drained, 15 oz
  • 2 cans diced rotel tomatoes, 15 oz. each
  • 4 flour tortillas, 10 inch size
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar or monterey jack cheese
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup guacamole
  • salsa

How To Make tortilla torte

  • 1
    Brown ground beef with onion in skillet. Stir until beef is crumbly. Drain. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in taco seasoning mix. Mix the cooked beef mixture, beans and tomatoes in large bowl. Layer toe tortillas, beef mixture and cheese 1/4 at a time in Dutch oven sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Cook, covered, over medium low heat for 15 to 20 minutes or til the cheese is melted and torte is hot in the center. Serve with sour cream, green onions, guacamole and salsa. Serves 6
