I used to make meatloaf different every time I made it. My family hated when I did that. So, one day I was reading the newspaper, found this recipe, and the writer said "once you make this recipe, you will never make another". It turned out to be true in my case. Everyone loves this recipe, and when I do make something different, I "get in trouble" for it. lol I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.

Ingredients

1 lb
ground beef
1/2 lb
ground pork
1/2 lb
ground veal
2
eggs, beaten
3/4 c
finely chopped onion
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp
dry mustard
1 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1 1/2 c
bread crumbs, seasoned
3/4 c
tomato juice
6
strips bacon
1
8 oz can tomato sauce

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2Mix together all ingredients up to tomato juice. Mix with your hands and "fluff" the meat, rather than compressing it. Mold the meat into a bomb-shaped loaf.
3Make the loaf 8-10 inches long, 4 inches high in a shallow casserole dish.
4Cover the top with tomato sauce.
5Place bacon strips over the sauce.
6Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy.
