This was a good recipe. It reminded me of Shepherd's Pie just with a cornmeal/corn bread topping.....

Ingredients For tamale pie

1 c

onion, chopped
1 clove

garlic
1 sm

green pepper
1 Tbsp

honey
1 Tbsp

oil
1 tsp

salt
1 lb

hamburger
2 tsp

chili powder
2 can

8 oz each tomato sauce
dash

pepper
1 can

12 oz corn, drained
1 1/2 c

shredded cheese
1/2 to 1 c

chopped olives

How To Make tamale pie

1
cook hamburger, onions and peppers in oil. Add all other ingredients except cheese. Simmer 30 mins. Stir in cheese. Pour in 9x13" baking dish. Cook 2 cups water, 3/4 cup cornmeal, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 Tbsp.butter till thick. Spoon over meat. Bake at 375* for 40 mins.
