Sweet and Sour Pot Roast
boneless beef chuck roast
brown sugar, firmly packed
1Place potatoes in a slow cooker.
2Trim fat from roast; brown in hot oil on all sides in a skillet.
3Place meat in slow cooker.
4Discard all but 1 tablespoon drippings from skillet; saute onion until tender.
5Stir in tomato sauce, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, vinegar and salt.
6Pour over meat and potatoes.
7Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or until the meat is tender.
8Before serving, pour sauce into a skillet.
9Cook and stir over medium-high heat until thickened; serve with potatoes and meat.
