Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

My husband's aunt shared this recipe several years ago. Makes a bunch. Can reduce quantities

Ingredients

3 lb
lean ground beef
3/4 tsp
pepper
2
eggs
4 lb
green cabbage leaves (2 - 2 lb heads)
3 c
chopped onions
2 tsp
salt
1/2 c
ketchup
1/2 c
crushed crackers
2 bottle
chili sauce (12 ounce)
1 jar(s)
grape jelly
1/4 c
water

Step-By-Step

1Soften leaves by steaming in boiling salted water.
2Chop onions and layer in bottom of greased pan
3Combine beef, pepper, eggs, salt, ketchup and crackers. Shape into rolls
4Wrap meat rolls with cabbage leaves. Place rolled cabbage on top of onions.
5Mix together chili sauce, grape jelly and water as a sauce. Pour 1/2 of sauce over rolls.
6Cover cabbage rolls tightly and bake 2 hrs at 300. Uncover, pour remaining sauce over and let bake 40 min.
