Stir Fry Beef with Peppers & Onion

Ingredients

2 Tbsp
peanut oil
2 Tbsp
soy sauce
2 Tbsp
dry sherry
2 Tbsp
water
2 tsp
cornstarch
1/2 tsp
sugar

garlic cloves, crushed
12 oz
sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1
red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1
yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 large
onion, halved, sliced
1/4 lb
mushrooms, quartered

Step-By-Step

1Combine 1 tablespoon oil, soy sauce, sherry, water, cornstarch, sugar and garlic in a shallow nonmetal dish.
2Add the steak strips.
3Heat remaining tablespoon oil in wok or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
4Add peppers, onion, mushrooms; stir-fry 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
5Remove and reserve.
6Add undrained steak to wok; stir-fry 2 minutes until no longer pink.
7Return vegetables to wok; stir-fry to heat through.
8Serve over rice.
