Ingredients For steamed cheeseburgers

1 1/2 lb85% lean ground beef
-
2 tspsoy sauce, low sodium
-
1 tsponion powder
-
1 tsptomato paste
-
3/4 tspsalt & pepper
-
4 cwater
-
8 ozcheddar cheese, shredded

4hamburger buns
How To Make steamed cheeseburgers

1In a large bowl, combine beef, soy sauce, onion powder, tomato paste, salt & pepper; mix to combine. Divide beef into 4 balls. Flatten into patties 3/4" thick & about 4" wide. Press divot into each patty. Bring water to a boil in covered dutch oven over medium high heat (water should not touch steamer basket).

2Place patties into steamer basket. Set basket inside dutch oven, cover & cook 8 minutes. Remove dutch oven from heat & divide cheese over patties. Cover & let sit about 2 minutes or until cheese melts. Place bun tops on top of cheese & bottom buns, cut side up, on top of top buns. Cover & let soften, about 30 seconds. Transfer bottom buns to platter & add condiments & top with burgers & top buns. Enjoy!
