Steak & Cheese Panini - Italian Style

- 8 oz flank steaks, cut about 3/4 inch thick
- loaf ciabatta or focaccia bread, sliced horizontally
- 8 slice
- 3/4 c
- shredded mozzerella
- 1/4 c
- 1/4 c
- fresh basil
- 2 tsp
- cayenne pepper sauce
- clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp
1Preheat grill on high heat for 15 minutes. Season steak on all sides with salt and pepper.
2Grill the steak on high, about 8 minutes per side. Let rest about 20 minutes before slicing, thinly,on the bias.
3Assemble on the bread as follows: Spread each slice of bread with 1/2 the mayo, then top the bottm slice with steak, Cheese, salt, pepper, EVOO, pepper sauce, basil, & tomatoes and garlic. Top with the other slice of bread.
4Reduce grill to medium heat and cook sandwich for 2 mintues on each side, until cheese is melted.
