Ingredients For sloppy joes

    lbs. ground beef
  • 2/3
    cup chopped onion
  • 1
    rounded tsp. garlic powder
  • 2
    8 oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1
    cup ketchup
  • 2
    tbsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 2
    tsp. brown sugar
  • 2
    tsp. prepared yellow mustard
  • 1
    tsp. ground mustard
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • 6
    kaiser or hamburger buns

How To Make sloppy joes

    In a Dutch oven, cook the beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and then drain. Stir the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, prepared mustard, ground mustard, and cayenne. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve on buns.
