Scalloped Potatoes With Smoked Sausage

|1 box||prepared scalloped potatoes|
|13 oz||packaged beef smoked sausage ring|
|1 medium||onion, chopped|
|1 medium||green pepper, chopped|
|2 c||boiling water|
|1 Tbsp||butter or margarine|
In a skillet, saute' onion and green pepper in butter.
Prepare potatoes as per instructions on box, using a 3 quart casserole dish. Cut sausage into 1/2" pieces, add to potato mixture. Add saute'd onions and green peppers. Mix well.
Bake uncovered in 400 F oven for about 30 minutes or until top is golden brown and potatoes are tender. Sauce will thicken as it stands. Stir before serving. Refrigerate leftovers
