Amy's StoryMy version of Texas Roadhouse's roadkill.
mozzarella cheese slice or swiss cheese slices
salt and pepper to your liking
1Preheat oven to 350
2mix in a bowl egg, meat and seasonings. Make into hamburger patties.
3saute mushrooms and onions, together if you want or seperate.
4In a pan on the stove on medium to high heat and brown patties on both sides it doesn't have to be cooked completely because it will go into the oven.
5once browned place into a 13x9 dish and place sauted mushroom/onion mixture on top of meat patties.
6Then place 1-2 pieces of cheese per patty on top of mushroom/onion mixture. I put 2 because i like it extra cheesy. Then place in oven until cheese is melted. Usually about 10 min.

Amy thanks for sharing. The last time I went to Texas Roadhouse Grill thats what I ordered. Very nice dish. My 2 grandsons (ages 3 and 4) were with me. They wanted to know what road kill was. I told them about the animals you see on the road and then we asked the waitress if it was possum or squirril, the waitress played along and the boys were too funny with their "ewwwwwwwwww's".

this is a terrible recipe, basically your making an under seasoned, bland, single meat meat loaf. If your looking for a version of the roadkill served by texas roadhouse DO NOT USE THIS RECIPE!
