night before cookin put roast,garlic powder and onion soup mix in zipper baggie but in fridge overnight...turn several times both in evening and in morning
heat oil in heavy pan til a drop of water jumps....add roast makin sure all onion pieces from soup mix are on roast brown very well on one side turn over brown other side remove roast to plate drain all oil from pan.... mix ocean spray with water pour into pan mix and stir and get pieces off bottom of pan
add roast cover cook 1 hr flip meat over cook 1 more hr again flip meat cook another hr[have temp jus at simmer while cookin the meat] after 3 hrs add carrots and taters... cook til they fork tender remove all from pan cover to keep warm...
add flour/water mix cook and stir til it boils boil about 5 min add lots of fresh ground pepper...serve
jus so ya know the color of this looks so different from most things we eat but did indeed taste really good... please give it a try
