Ingredients

BEEF PATTIES:

2 lb
ground beef
2 c
finely crushed soda crackers
2 c
milk
1 c
finely chopped onion
salt and pepper to taste

GRAVY:

1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 can(s)
water

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix all the ingredient together. Then press into a large flat pan. Cover pan with foil or plastic wrap. Let this set overnight in the refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. When ready to bake cut in squares, dip each piece in flour and brown in a skillet with a little oil in it. Then put the browned pieces in a casserole.

Make gravy by combining 1 can cream of mushroom soup mixed with 1 can water. Pour gravy mixture over meat pieces and bake slowly (325 degrees) for 2 hours or until meat is done.

Grandma always served these with mashed potatoes and hot fresh yeast rolls.
