Ingredients For poor man's beef wellington

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    broccoli, frozen, thawed
  • 1 c
    mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt & pepper
  • 2 can
    pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 1 lg
    egg, beaten
  • poppy seeds

How To Make poor man's beef wellington

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

    In medium skillet, brown meat; drain well. Add broccoli, cheese, onion, sour cream, salt & pepper; mix well. Simmer 10 minutes.

    Separate dough into 4 long rectangles. On ungreased cookie sheet, overlap long sides of 2 rectangles 1/2". Firmly press edges & perforations to seal.

    Press or roll to form a 13 x 7" rectangle. Spoon 1/2 of mixture onto dough lengthwise. Bring long edges of dough rectangle over filling, overlapping edges slightly; pinch edge & ends to seal. Repeat with remaining dough.

    Brush with egg; sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake for 18 - 22 minutes or until deep golden brown.
