Ingredients For pepper steak

1 1/2 lbsirloin steak cut into strips

3 Tbspoil

1 cwater
-
1 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 tspginger root, minced

1medium onion, sliced

2green peppers, sliced
-
2 Tbspsoy sauce
-
2 tspsugar
-
1 Tbspcornstarch
-
2 mdtomatoes, sliced into wedges
How To Make pepper steak

1heat oil in a skillet over med. high heat. add the steak and cook until browned, about 5 min.

2add the water, garlic, ginger, and onion. heat to a boil, then cover and simmer for 10 min.

3add the green peppers to the pan and continue to simmer with the lid on for about 5 minutes or until the peppers are tender.

4in a small bowl stir together the soy sauce, sugar and cornstarch. add it to the pan and bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. cook for 1 minute.

5Add the tomatoes and heat through. Serve over rice.
