the only thing that I kept from my mother's meatloaf is the whole hard boiled egg in the center and, of course, the meat.

Ingredients For not my mom's meatloaf

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/4 c
    italian bread crumbs
  • 1 pkg
    onion soup mix
  • 1 Tbsp
    bbq sauce
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 tsp
    milk
  • 1
    hard boiled egg
  • ketchup and bbq sauce for glaze

How To Make not my mom's meatloaf

    preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • 2
    mix together the first 6 ingredients. Form onto a rectangular loaf. With side of hand, make an indentation in center of loaf. Place hard boiled egg in meat. Cover and re-form loaf. Place in rectangular baking pan ( not a loaf pan). spread a mixture of 1/2 ketchup and 1/2 BBQ sauce (to your taste)on top of loaf. Bake 45 minutes uncovered. Let stand 5 at least five minutes before serving.
