No Bun Sirloin and Veggie Burger

Another low carb delight. I haven't eaten a bun with my burgers in over a month, and I don't miss it at all!

Ingredients

**ground sirloin
**three alarm colby jack cheese
**mushrooms, small portabello
**red onion
**red, yellow and orange mini sweet peppers
**jalapeno
black pepper
olive oil

Step-By-Step

1I grind my own meat. This week thin sirloin tip was on sale, so that's what I bought. There is nothing like fresh ground beef from your own kitchen, it just has more flavor!!!
2I cooked these burgers on my indoor elec. grill with only black pepper. Since the meat was so lean, I took them off while juices were still coming out, about 5 min. per side.
3I sliced the mini peppers, jalapeno, onion and mushrooms and drizzled with with a little olive oil. Then I browned them a little in a ribbed skillet.
4I grated some 3 alarm cheese and put on the burger and popped in micro just long enough to melt. Then topped with veggies and had a feast.
5Another option is slicing large sweet peppers and portabelos. Also try adding some reduced sugar bbq sauce!
