My Ex Mother-In-Law's Pot Roast

3-5 lb
brisket or other lean pot roast cut
1 can(s)
cranberry sauce (whole or jellied)
1 pkg
dry onion soup mix


1Place meat into a dutch oven or crock pot.
2mash cranberry sauce on top and sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over meat.
3Add water to just barely cover. Cook low and slow until "falling apart done" for 3+ hours in dutch oven or 8 hours in the crockpot. Serve with noodles or buckwheat groats.
