Ingredients For mushroom beef patties

1 lbground beef

1/4 ccheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 tsphot pepper sauce

1/2 cwater
-
1/2 chalf and half
-
2 Tbspall purpose flour

5 Tbspbutter
-
1 tspdried basil
-
1/2 lbmushrooms, sliced

1/2 tspgarlic powder
-
1/2 tsppepper

1 tspsalt
-
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce
-
2 Tbspmilk
-
1/4 cdry bread crumbs

2 Tbspgreen onions, chopped
How To Make mushroom beef patties

1Combine beef, crumbs, milk, worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper and garlic powder; mix well. Shape into 3 or 4 oval patties; cook on both sides until no longer pink.

2Cook the mushrooms and basil in 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat until tender. Increase heat to high; cook and stir until most of the liquid evaporates.

3Melt the remaining butter; stir in flour. Gradually blend in cream.

4Add 1/2 cup water, hot pepper sauce and remaining salt; cook and stir on low until thickened and bubbly.

5Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Add enough remaining water to make a medium-thin sauce.

6Add mushrooms; heat through. Serve over beef patties; top with cheese and onions.
