Mexican Beef Casserole

Ingredients

ground beef
1 large
onion, chopped
4
hot chili peppers
8 oz
cheddar cheese
1 c
cornmeal
1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
soda
2
eggs, beaten
1 c
buttermilk
1/3 c
oil
1 can(s)
cream-style corn

Step-By-Step

1Brown beef; add onions, peppers and cheese.
2Sift together meal, salt and soda.
3Combine sifted mixture with beaten eggs, buttermilk, oil and corn.
4Pour half of the bread mixture in a deep greased skillet or casserole dish.
5Add meat mixture and top with remaining bread mixture.
6Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
