My mom came up with this recipe years ago to help us eat better. I revised it when I couldn't eat tomatoes anymore. I use Ritz crackers & lean ground beef, 93/7. Feel free to use any other crackers or 80/20. You can also use Hidden Valley® Salad Dressing and Seasoning Mix if you don't like the buttermilk version. You can gently beat the egg before you add it to the meat mixture if you prefer.

1 lbground beef

1 pkgground turkey

1/2 mdonion, chopped or diced

1 pkghidden valley® buttermilk recipe salad dressing & seasoning mix

4shakes of black pepper
-
2shakes of seasoning salt
-
4shakes of garlic powder
-
1egg
-
1 pkgcrackers, crushed
How To Make meatloaf madeover

1Preheat oven to 375

2Gently mix all ingredients in a large bowl with your hands. Don't overwork the meat or it will get tough as it bakes. Shape into a square or round loaf & place into pan.

3Bake for one hour. Meatloaf is done when it's not pink inside. If it's not done at one hour, continue baking in 10 minute increments until done. Meatloaf will have a slightly crunchy crust on the outside when done.

4Slice & serve with your favorite vegetable(s).
